1. Check the wall type
- If it’s timber or stud wall, locate studs for secure fixing.
- Use a stud finder and mark their positions.
- This will guide where you can securely screw the bracket.
- If it’s masonry, you’ll likely need Wall Plug
2. Measure & Mark
- Mark the recommended height above the hob.
- Outline where the hood and chimney will sit, using a level.
3. Install the Mounting Bracket
- Start by inserting the first screw halfway, then the last one, and then the middle screw. Continue inserting the remaining screws halfway. Once all screws are in position, tighten them gradually and firmly. This helps distribute the load evenly and ensures better leveling.
4. Attach the Hood Body
- Hang the main hood on the bracket.
- Secure with screws.
5. Ducting (for vented models)
- Connect the exhaust pipe to the outlet.
- Seal joints with aluminum foil tape.
6. Fit the Chimney Cover
- Slide the chimney sections into place.
- Secure with the provided screws/clips.
7. Electrical Connection
- Plug into a socket or have a qualified electrician hard-wire it.
8. Final Checks
- Insert filters (mesh or charcoal).
- Test fan and lights.
- Check airflow and stability.
